"Vanden Stock won't return"

Yesterday we reported that Anderlecht chairman Roger Vanden Stock would leave his position at the Belgian Football Federation. Today François De Keersmaecker reacted.


"Friday Vanden Stock told us about his plans. Of course I was surprised by this. He listed a number of reasons which make it clear he that he won't return. Trying to change his mind seems pointless," said the president of the Belgian Football Federation.

Manager Van Holsbeeck looks at the bright side of Vanden Stock's decision: "He is fed up and disappointed with the way things were going. The positive thing is that now he can fully concentrate on the club."
