Anderlecht defeated Racing Genk tonight in the first leg of quarter final of the Belgian Cup. The final result was 0-1. Frutos scored the only goal of the game after 73 minutes of play.

The Mauves were the better team all along. They created a few excellent chances in the first half through Boussoufa, Biglia, Hassan (who hit the crossbar) and Frutos.

Genk tried to do something against it and was dangerous via Pocognoli and Vandenbergh.

The second half was a copy of the first. Anderlecht controlled the game and created several chances. Boussoufa had the best one, but goalkeeper Bailly saved.

Deep in the second half, Frutos scored after a good combination between Boussoufa and Biglia.
