Selection Genk – Anderlecht

Tomorrow, the first of the two games for the Belgian cup against Genk takes place. Tchité isn’t in the selection. He is, like announced before, injured.


His adductor problem isn’t solved yet and Vercauteren doesn’t want to take any risk: “If we let him play this quickly there’s a great risk that we lose him for a longer periode and we want to avoid that.”

Anderlecht are going for the victory despite the fact that Genk didn’t lose a game yet at home this season: “Indeed, it’s about time that they lose. Keeping the null will be important. And we have to try to score. We don’t have to think too much before the game. We can’t lose the organisation in the team. It’s important to be sharp from the start because Genk scores a lot in the first quarter of the game”, said Bart Goor.

Vercauteren confirms that Anderlecht is going for the victory: “We can’t think about the home game yet. We have to do our best and make sure that we win.”
