Manager Herman Van Holsbeeck told Het Laatste Nieuws that winning the title is an absolute priority. The manner in which it is achieved is of lesser importance. "From now on only the result is important."

The manager is aware of the importance of Anderlecht's trademark "champagne football", and realises the team has not achieved that goal this season: "We have the title and the cup in sight now. What we need is to stay calm. Anderlecht needs to support its coach and players at this moment."

Van Holsbeeck praises the positive mentality of the players: "Fighting until the very end of the game, like the team did in Bruges and Lokeren, is what used to be lacking."

Het Nieuwsblad wanted to know if the manager did not regret extending the coach's contract: "The coach needs to feel that the board is still supporting him. The board is convinced we have the players necessary to win the title. And I still expect us to do so."

"We'll see how things are after those three games against Racing Genk. It would be quite an achievement if Genk would win the title. Yet I'm still convinced only Anderlecht can beat Anderlecht."
