New stadium could be finished in 2012

There is a big chance that the new stadium will be built in Neerpede, near the current youth training centre. Last week Anderlecht mayor Simonet proposed a couple of locations including Neerpede.


Other potential locations could be the industrial zone named Klein Eiland and a site near the Schaarbeek station.

"A decision will be made before the easter holidays. The stadium could be finished in 2012. And if the Red Devils could be play there, the Belgian Football Federation could support it financially as well. The project would cost about 200 million euro's," claimed Simonet.

Neerpede is located three kilometers away from the present stadium. The grounds have a size of 15 Hectare, on which a stadium can be built that will hold 50,000 spectators.
