Van Holsbeeck regrets the departure of Martens

Maarten Martens, who is playing as a midfielder at the Dutch club AZ, is in the base of the team tonight for the Red Devils. He played for Anderlecht until 2004, but Anderlecht agreed on a transfer to Waalwijk.


Anderlecht regret it a lot: “We made a mistake. We have to congratulate Maarten with his performances but we are not happy about the fact that he’s playing for AZ. We made a big mistake with Maarten. He wasn’t ready yet to play in the first team and we were not sure if he would be good enough to play for the first team in the future”, said Van Holsbeeck.
