According to the Egyptian press, Ahmed Hassan wants to leave Anderlecht at the end of the season. "It's time to return to my home country", the 32-year-old midfielder stated. "I want to pass on my experiences here."

"I've been playing in Europe for ten years now, and even though I have a good relationship with the players, the fans and the coach, I've made a decision. I want to spend more time with my wife and family. I'm not playing well at the moment, and that's only because I'm thinking about a possible return all the time. I'm not a machine. I'm sure I'll feel better when I'm back in Egypt", Hassan said.

Ahli and Zamalek already showed interest in Ahmed Hassan, but he does not know where he will go. "I received some offers, but I'm not interested in making a move now. I'll evaluate all offers. I don't want a team to earn money, I just want to find a team where I can feel comfortable."
