Van Holsbeeck happy with Vercauteren as trainer

The fans are not happy with Vercauteren's coaching. Though the board is defending the trainer and they want to extend his current contract. "We are still in the running for the title, but our level of play should be higher."


"Being a trainer in Anderlecht is difficult. The press and the fans are always keeping a close eye on the prestations of the team. So the trainer is always in the line of fire", Van Holsbeeck said.

But the manager understands the fans: "We know that we could bring any spectacular games as we promised. But sometimes we had to play three games in one week. It will be better after the winter break", the manager concluded.
