Christian Leiva (29) is always sitting at the bench. After six months of patience, the Argentinean player speaks. “I’m certainly not staying in Anderlecht. I want to leave in January.”

“I have wasted my time for six months”, says Leiva in LDH. “That’s a lot of time for a footballer. I’m 29 and I have already played 206 matches at the highest level.”
Anderlecht pay 800.000 euro for Leiva but he only played against AEK, Dessel, STVV, Moucron and Cercle Bruges.
“Vercauteren doesn’t like my style. I’m the only new player who doesn’t play. I want to leave, but I don’t want to argue with the club. I don’t want to go back to Argentina. That would mean that I failed in Europe”, said Leiva.
“My salary? Money isn’t important, otherwise I could stay on the bench for three years.”
