Nothing but positive reactions after the easy win of Anderlecht against La Louvière. Chairman Vanden Stock even was euphorical about the way Anderlecht played.

Vanden Stock: "So many chances, such a good football! We played good the last few weeks, so it's a shame that it's winter break now. With this lead and this football it will be very difficult to keep us from the title. I also want to thank La Louvière for the way they challenged us. Together with a perfect Anderlecht this brought a beautiful football evening. I'm very happy about our first round, it's only a shame that we are out of the Champions League. But I look forward to the second round. A new, big Anderlecht is in progress. Herman Van Holsbeeck, successor of Michel Verschueren, can sleep on both ears."

Pär Zetterberg: "The 2-0 was soon a fact in the first half, and after that it was easy for us. We could create lots of chances and we could have had a bigger lead in half-time. After the break we had some luck, as Tristan saved that penalty. But we played very good. Our one-time football was very good. Now we can go on holiday with a good feeling. We fought during the whole first round, so we can relax now and prepare for the second round. I leave for Sweden on Monday."
