Yves Vanderhaeghe reacted in de Gazet van Antwerpen on the fact that he has to sit on the bench. He admits that he has a hard time with it but he refuses to stop playing.

Vanderhaeghe is not happy with the way in which he had to move to the bench: “No one ever told me why I had to sit in the bench. After Milan no one said anything to me. People have already said many times that I’m too old to play, and every time I came back. Last year everyone said I was going to stop, and I’m still playing.”

The 36-year-old midfielder wants to play another season after this one. A lot of clubs have already called him: “They know what I’m worth”, said Vanderhaeghe.
