Roger Vanden Stock reacted after the elimination in the Champions League. He emphasises that Anderlecht are working on a new team and that it’s normal to make mistakes. But in the CL you can not make such mistakes.

But Vanden Stock is not unhappy. Anderlecht made some progress and maybe they can still qualify for the UEFA-cup. Vanden Stock thinks that Anderlecht would make a chance there because the level is much lower there.

He’s opinion about the Belgian competition is clear: “We are still one of the favourites. There’s just a little more pressure because of the results of Genk. If Genk keeps winning they will be champion with 85 points, but the chance that they keep winning is small.”

It seems that Vanden Stock is happy about the team: “Everyone has found his place. We almost manage to play a whole game on a high level. The scouting have done their jobs. The Argentineans are good for the team. Especially Biglia will mean a lot to the team in the future. I just have my doubts about Leiva”, concluded Vanden Stock.
