Anderlecht wasn’t able to win the game against Gent this weekend. “It’s a good thing that Genk lost some points against Bruges, but it will be difficult to get to the first place”, know Van Holsbeeck.

“We have evaluated the game against Gent. Frank Vercauteren makes no mistakes. He knows what he is doing. It’s just clear that there’s no balance in the team. Seventeen players have left the team, nine players are new. The integration takes some time. But we have a lot of problems in the defence. We have no right defender. We want 2 or 3 new players during the winter break”, said Vanholsbeeck.

“It will be hard to find new players in Belgium. Onyewu for example is an interesting player but he will probably be playing in England next season. We don’t have much money to buy players so we have to search for players all over the world.”

Van Holsbeeck expressed his opinion about tomorrow's game: “If we end at the fourth place, it would mean that we didn’t reach our goal. But if that happens, we are not in a crisis. The pressure increases a bit, but that’s it”, concluded Van Holsbeeck.
