Mpenza: "Goal was a relief"

Mbo Mpenza was in the starting line-up against Cercle Bruges yesterday, but it was only the second time this season that the striker started a match. Nevertheless, the winger scored a goal and made a good performance.


"That goal was a relief for me, it's the most important for a striker. You have to be the right player on the right time on the right position to score, so I'm happy today", said Mbo Mpenza.

Also Frank Vercauteren was satisfied with the performance of Mpenza. "Mbo went through a tough period, so it's normal that this goal is important to him. I'm happy about his game. His substitution at the end of the match was just an reward for him", reacted Vercauteren.
