Daniël Zitka is playing a very strong season for Anderlecht. But the Czech federal coach Karel Brückner doesn't seem to be impressed. He never selected Zitka for the national team, not even now Petr Cech is out for a while.

"If I get selected for the national team, I leave immediatly to play for my country. I'm playing a decent season, but I'm not going to ask myself to get selected. The problem is that Brückner is too conservative. Belgian coach Vandereycken selects new players now and then, but the Czech Republic still has the same team as five years ago."

"A lot of people see me as Petr Cech's successor, but not the coach it seems. The Czech press only called me to ask me why I missed a penalty. And after Milan ... to ask me about Jankulovski's performance. But I never hear anything when I'm playing well myself."
