Everyone in Brussels hoped for a good result, but Anderlecht were not able to cause any harm to AC Milan. The Italians defeated Anderlecht with a clear 4-1 score. Only Roland Juhasz was able to score for the Mauves.

The 5.000 Anderlecht fans in the San Siro stadium saw a very strong Milan from the start. Juhasz made a foul in the penalty area after six minutes and Kaka had no trouble making his third goal in four Champions League games.
