“If 25.000 fans are chanting your name, you can’t just stand still”, explained Zitka. “I have to be honest, if the fans hadn't chanted my name, I would never have taken the penalty.”

“When we got our first penalty I ran to Hassan and asked him if he wanted to take it. He said yes so I returned. He wanted to score a hattrick. When the referee decided to give us another penalty it was my turn. I saw that Van Der Jeugt was moving to the corner of the goal. I decided to kick very hard and my ball ended in the grandstand.”

“This was my first penalty ever in a game. If it was my last one? If the fans start chanting, I’ll do it again. But don’t worry, against Milan I’ll be only concentrated on keeping the nil”, concluded Zitka.
