Deschacht: "Mamouni was really stupid"

After the red card for Mamar Mamouni, the player of Lierse had a quarrel with Olivier Deschacht. Mamouni even indicated he wanted to cut Deschacht's throat. The Anderlecht midfielder gave his reaction on the incident.


"I only told Mamouni it was really stupid of him to take that ball with his hands", said Deschacht. "What was the use of that? The game had already been played, they couldn't win anymore. Now he will be suspended, and he's a good player. No, it was really not smart of him. And of course I would have scored if he hadn't touched that ball", laughed Deschacht.
