Charleroi played an unfair game yesterday and that clearly troubled Anderlecht trainer Franky Vercauteren. He even had to calm down Vanden Borre who got into a fight with Christ. A few reactions:
Franky Vercauteren: "We deserved this point, but Charleroi's intimidations extremely bothered me."
Jacky Mathijsen (trainer Charleroi): "It was a tough game with not much of decent football. I only saw pushing, pulling and hard tackles today."
Bart Goor (scored for RSCA): "We were lucky with that late goal. Charleroi were the better team though. We must admit that, but we kept our organization. That's why it was suck a close game. Our strikers didn't have much good chances due to all the pushing and pulling around the box. So one point isn't too bad after all."
Olivier Deschacht: "A draw is the correct result. We didn't have much chances, but Charleroi had set everything on defense. Every year, this is a hard game. Taking a point so late in the match is only good for our confidence."
Anthony Vanden Borre: "It was a hard game. Charleroi played well, but we showed our fighting spirit. They tried to frustrate me, but I didn't fall for that."
Yves Vanderhaeghe: "I escaped from a red card. I kicked a player who was down on the pitch. I apologise for that. It was a stupid reaction, but I was driven by anger because he hurt me after that dangerous tackle."
