Reactions: Deschacht: "Decided before the kick-off"

After the game, Hugo Broos, Olivier Deschacht, Michel Verschueren and Pär Zetterberg commented the game. They all agreed about the good prestation of the team and about the incorrectness of the penalty.

Anderlecht-coach Hugo Broos was disappointed and frustrated after the game. He stressed the good Anderlecht prestation, but was unhappy about the penalty phase. Broos was also unhappy about the lack of fair-play of the Germans: "They kept on winning time and they were arrogant."

Olivier Deschacht: "It didn't work out. We were unlucky. It looked like the game was already decided before it started. All the Bayern players already shaked hands with the referee before the kick-off. And the team Bayern, what's up with them? They only had 2 chances. It's rediculous, yes. I hope for a pay-back next year."

Michel Verschueren: "That penalty? No comment on that. I'm proud of the team. The future of Anderlecht seems secured!"

Pär Zetterberg: "We were better. The referee has stolen the qualification from us. Penalty? I don't think so! I am really angry."
