Deschacht: “I want to stay here forever”

Olivier Deschacht is back on track with Anderlecht, but he didn’t play with the Red Devils. “I don’t know why the coach didn’t select me. I think it’s something personal”, says the defender.


“I must have done something wrong, but I don’t know what. And Vandereycken refuses to talk about the absent players. I hope to play again for the Red Devils one day”, said Deschacht.

“Without the Devils I can concentrate on Anderlecht for the 100%. I get selected every week because of my achievements on training. I know that I didn’t make much progress in 2005, but I play different now: with more self-confidence” says the player.

“I’m talking with the club about a contract until 2010, but there are still some things on which we don’t agree. My contract ends in June and there are some other clubs who are interested. But I prefer on staying here. If I sign a new contract for 4 years, I’ll stay here forever”
