Argentinian signing Cristian Leiva got the chance to proove himself against Panathinaikos Athens this week, but the midfielder will start on the bench against Westerlo anyway.

"Panathinaikos was a great opportunity to show myself", reacts Leiva. "I was able to see whether I can compete on European level or not. The coach paid attention to the individual performance of the players, so it was important for me. Of course I am disappointed I have to sit on the bench, but there are many good players here. I hope I get the chance to prove myself. I want to show what I'm worth", said the Argentinian.

"I have no problem with Yves Vanderhaeghe. He is a great, experienced player with a great shape for his age. I admire him", stated Leiva. The midfielder is also happy with the French classes. "We had six classes until now. But the best way to study a language, is talking and hearing it on the pitch", said Cristian Leiva.
