Anderlecht obtained the maximum of the points this season, but they did not show their best football until now. For that reason, manager Herman Van Holsbeeck was criticised of. Nevertheless, the manager stays calm.

"The points at the end of the season are all that matters", stated Van Holsbeeck. "Some players were honoured after the first game, but that already changed after the second. It is difficult for Vercauteren to make a team of all those new players in such a short period of time. But don't forget we managed to win twice, with only ten players. STVV was a difficult game, Westerlo will be another one."

Anderlecht will challenge Real Madrid next week in a friendly game. "Games like that are important. They can replace the preliminary rounds of the Champions League. That is why they are a good test for us." Anderlecht still did not find a new right defender. "We only want a new right defender if he really is a reïnforcement", reacted Van Holsbeeck again.
