With a difficult game in Westerlo ahead (Sunday), coach Franky Vercauteren is preparing his players for the first real top-match of the season. "We need to win", he said confidently.

It would be nice if we could win. We would get a lot of self-confidence, which will be needed for the game against Club Brugge. The fact that Westerlo still have the maximum of the points doesn't concern Vercauteren: "Six points or not, winning in Westerlo is never easy. Yet we have enough quality to do so."

It will be busy days for Anderlecht with two clashes: one against Westerlo and one against Club Brugge. In between, the Mauves also visit Real Madrid for a friendly game. “A good preparation for our match against the Brugians. We'll also have special trainings and a team building session", explained the coach.

“Hassan and Boussoufa are back. It’s not good for the game against Westerlo that they have been away, but it’s a good thing for Hassan that he could visit his family. I remember, when I still played, that I enjoyed being away with the national team. But I’m not going to look at the result of the Red Devils…” says Franky.
