The Red Devils couldn’t win against Kazachstan. The Belgian team thought that it was going to be an easy game. But they were wrong. They didn’t get much support from the audience.

Goor tried to score, but he was offside according to the referee. Kompany tried to reach the strikers with long balls but it didn’t work out the way he wanted. In the 37th minute Kompany had to be substituted because of an injury. Huysegems replaced him.
A few minutes later the Devils had a chance on scoring, but the ball didn’t reach the goal.

The second half wasn’t very interesting in the beginning. After 7 minutes Geeraerts had the chance to score the 1-0 but the goalkeeper of Kazachstan was very attentive. The team from Kazachstan had a lot of chances and Vandereycken realised he had to do something. He substituted Van Damme for Pieroni. Buffel could score but he missed.

They still had to play 15 minutes and it was still 0-0. Hoefkens got substituded for Vanden Borre. Pieroni was able to place his head against the ball, but he missed. In the last minutes of the match both teams had some chances but no one was able to score a goal. The Belgian team tried to find their way to the goal but every time they could score someone missed or a player of the other team was quick enough to defend their goal.
After the game the Belgian audience was not happy with the achievement of the Red Devils and they hissed at the team.
