Wilhelmsson in Belgium for a little while

Remarkable visitor yesterday: Christian Wilhelmsson came over to finish some things and afterwards he visited his ex-team mates. Chippen's competition also started on Friday.

His team played against Lyon. Nantes' president would have loved him to play, but he said he wasn't fit enough.

Wilhelmsson seemed very tired. "After the WC I took a short holiday to Sweden, but in France I haven't had one minute of rest. I had to do a lot of paper work and that took me a lot of energy. It's also very hot over there. During a training every player uses about 4 bottles of water. I'm dead tired and I don't feel capable to play. Wilhelmsson is happy with his choice. To him Nantes is a top club with a beautiful stadium. The hours to train are a bit weard there, sometimes we train at 5pm.


Private everything is going well. He has found a villa near the city and near a big beach. His girlfriend can have all the fun she wants.

But at Nantes there is a bit of a language problem now. At Anderlecht most of the players could talk English, but now Chippen has to learn French. "My escort can speak 14 languages, he used to escort French players in England, such as Louis Saha at Manchester United."

Wilhelmsson said he still has a lot of contact with Kompany. They both phone eachother almost every day. Also Kompany says he is happy with his choice.
