MacDonald: "I thought it was over"

“I thought it was all over for me”, says Sherjill MacDonald. The Anderlecht-striker talks about the missed match against Lyon because he was too late on training.

“Three weeks beforehand I had that match in mind, but still I was rashed and I made a mistake. I almost had to cry, I have isolated myself in my flat. I’m happy that the team didn’t make a wry face at me.”

“I’m not sad because I didn’t stay in Ajax. Then the youth didn’t get a chance. Now Ajax would have informed, but I want to make it in Anderlecht.”
