Franky Vercauteren expects a serious effort from his team after they got beaten with 1 - 4 against Aachen. Vercauteren:"It seems that I've lost quite some time. A loss is acceptable, but not in this way."

"This means they don't have much respect for the fans who came all the way to Verviers."

After the game against Aachen, Franky was very angry. A day after he calmed down and gave an explanation: "Sometimes we have to make conclusions. In this way I can tell the players what they are responsable for. Almost never have I seen such a team after the game. The match was bad and conclusions have been made."
Franky expects a lot of action from his players tonight. "We have forgotten the loss and I'm ready for a new battle. We can't underestimate our opponent like we did in Aachen. We have to win the Supercup, for our fans. They have invested a lot of money in the season tickets and we have to show that it was worth it. To me the competition begins today, and not next week. I'm happy with the preparation and the apprenticeship. Most guys are integrated, Hassan had some problems, but it will all turn out well."

One of the weaknessess of the team in the defence. But the trainer refuses to say that that's the cause of the loss against Aachen. "I won't say it's the fault of the defence, the team is not about them. To make a team takes time."
