Anderlecht chairman Roger Vanden Stock knows that it’s now or never for his team: “I know it’s going to be tough, but everything can happen here”, he says in HLN. “Our only disadvantage is that Lyon has won against Bayern.”

“So we will have to grab qualification in Munich. That won’t be easy. But if it doens’t work out against Lyon, it’s not the end of the world.”

“Lyon has a budget that is four times as big as ours. In Europe Anderlecht is the weaker brother. I underestimated Celtic. That club has more possibilities than I had expected.”

The chairman also wants to make an end at all the speculations about an extention of Hugo Broos’ contract. ‘Before New Year that case will be cleared out.”

“From our side there aren’t many doubts, because there’s success. I just have the impression that our coach has some troubles. He seems to think he isn’t welcome. I wonder if he’s happy?”

“Broos keeps saying he was almost fired last year. I can tell you: in the board that never was a subject. Oh, we can’t always win”, it sounds in HLN.
