Leiva: "Cheerfully with presence Frutos"

Yesterday signed the Argentinian Cristian Leiva for Anderlecht. Although he is a defensive midfielder, manager Herman Van Holsbeeck emphasized that he is not the replacement of Yves Vanderhaeghe.


"Leiva is hard but fair, has technique and is a worker." That's the way Van Holsbeeck summarized his acquisition. Meanwhile the Argentinian got assigned the same shirt number as Nenad Jestrovic. It is striking that he is already expected on 1 June in Brussels, so that he gets extra time to prepare the new season.

"I am glad with the presence of Frutos", laid Leiva its choice for Anderlecht out. "He told me he didn't regret his choice for Anderlecht for a single moment. I'm looking forward to playing in the Champions League. I am very hopeful for the future, everything will be all right", he said promisingly.
