Anderlecht can stop dreaming about Thomas Buffel as Zetterberg's successor. The red devil is perfectly happy in Glasgow and wants to play for his club for a bit longer.

Buffel was very flattered by Anderlecht's interest. To him it was a recognition of his performances. But: "I still have a contract until 2009. I am not thinking of another club at the moment. I have developed myself, as well as on the field as next to it. It is a pleasure to play for the Rangers.

Also the Rangers themselves won't let Buffel go. Trainer Alex McLeish knows what Buffel is worth. "He has a lot of influence on the team. He gives that bit extra. He has to cope with a lot of pressure, but he seems very happy here."

Financially Anderlecht would have had some problems. Buffel is worth 6 million euros and earns 1.5 million at Glasgow.
