Anderlecht have beaten FC Brussels with 2-0. The Mauves seem to be back on track. They brought great football and Brussels can be glad they weren't crushed. RSCA had 27 attempts on goal compared to 2 for Brussels.

Anderlecht took a great start and had a handful of good chances. Serhat, Zetterberg and Wilhelmsson entertained the public with brilliant football, but the chances were initially missed. Goor was the closest to a goal, but his effort died on the post.

It was Frutos who brought Anderlecht one up. Wilhelmsson opened for Serhat who let the ball run for Frutos. He banged the ball in the upper corner of the goal: 1-0.

Brussels couldn't react and were lucky it wasn't already 5-0 at half time. They only had one decent chance on a counter-attack. When Zaaboub was excluded in the 41st minute, it became clear that Anderlecht were almost sure of the three points.

After the break, nothing changed. Anderlecht dominated FC Brussels and goalkeeper Nys had to save a handful of good efforts. It was finally Zetterberg who doubled the score with a hard shot: 2-0.

Replacements Mbo Mpenza and Iachtchouk were both close to the 3-0, but they missed in front of an open goal.
