After the match coach Broos and players Deschacht and Kompany gave their opinion about the match. They all agreed that the performance of the Mauves was below the mark. Against Standard they'll have to play much better!

Hugo Broos: "Our performance in the first half wasn't worth the European level. They way we defended today was asking for trouble. It was below the mark. Their clearly was a lack of concentration and devotion", said Broos on Canvas.
"In the half time I was furious. It was véry, véry bad. This is a young group and this wicked match is part of the growing process. But today I am very disillusioned."
Still the coach keeps believing in the success of his team.
"The result of Bayern Munich, that lost, isn't good for us. And then there's the suspension of Aruna (against Lyon). And we have to win against Lyon. Lyon has seven points, we have to come equal."
"Whether I fear that this loss has a mental effect for the match on Sunday against Standard? No, just the opposite: as a matter of speaking it's a good deal that we can clearly see the difference between the Belgian level and the European."

Olivier Deschacht: "We let the fans and the board down. You just can't imagine what happened today. We underestimated Celtic. Hartson hurted us. He had a foot in each goal. We are with both feet back on the ground."

Vincent Kompany: "It seemed like the Celtic players were doped by the public. You just can't compare this match with two weeks ago. We made so many mistakes today, that it wasn't attainable. Today we just couldn't do any better. What's more: today nothing turned out well for us."
