Anderlecht succeeded at last in playing a tremendous game and winning it. In the presence of a full house, they beat Racing Genk with 4-1.

There was a lot of atmosphere in the stadium. A tifo had been spread, and everyone was singing "You'll never walk alone". And Anderlecht played very motivated because of the great public. They took a perfect start and made two goals in twelve minutes: Goor opened the score with a perfect kick, and Pär Zetterberg managed to score the 2-0 after a penalty kick.

However, Genk was not really impressed, and they started the attack. Kevin Vandenbergh, who started the game for the first time since long, scored the 2-1. The first half was very dynamic, but Anderlecht went with a 2-1 lead to the locker room.

After the break, Anderlecht started furious. They were able to score twice in three minutes. Frutos made a nice header, a couple of minutes later it was Goor's turn to score his second goal of the game. The 4-1 was a deserved victory after a good game of football.
