The transfer of central defender Lamine Traoré to the Turkish side Gençlerbirligi has been completed. The Burkinese player will travel to Turkey today, to sign his contract.

It is not clear yet whether he will make an immediate move or not. If he leaves Anderlecht at the end of the season, his contract will have expired and he will be a free player. "I prefer leaving Anderlecht now", reacted Traoré. "I do not have any satisfaction anymore in Brussels. I have the skills to succeed in Anderlecht, but I do not get any confidence."

The 24-year-old player could also make a move to Stoke City and Willem II. Earlier this year, the Burkinese defender tried to get the Belgian nationality, but that was refused because he does not live in Belgium permanently.
