Vanden Borre has talked for the first time since he was replaced last Saturday in Zulte-Waregem. He goes currently through a more delicate period, but he sees his future in a positive way.

"I will soon come back", he said. "How? By making an outstanding performance against Standard".

Anthony explains further that he was first and foremost angry and furious on his prestation. He explained that he could simply not succeed in performing efficiently.

"When I got replaced, I was really fed up with my prestation. But let us not make a tragedy of all this. It was only an 'off-day', nothing more. I am a hearted human being, and I also have feelings. I am afraid some people might have a wrong image of me".

Vincent Kompany supports his friend, arguing that Anthony should not look back at this bad prestation. "It is a life lesson, and he will come stronger out of it. He will quickly forget this more delicate period, I am sure of it".
