Charleroi showed a strong performance against Anderlecht, but they did not manage to win any points in the Constant Vanden Stock stadium. Anderlecht defeated Charleroi with 3-1.

Coach Franky Vercauteren had chosen to place Anthony Vanden Borre on the midfield, which was a good choice. The young Red Devil opened the scored after a tremendous assist by Christian Wilhelmsson.

Nenad Jestrovic, who replaced Mbo Mpenza, missed a very good chance to score the 2-0, and a little later Sterchele managed to score the equalizer on the other side of the pitch: 1-1. But the happiness of Sporting Charleroi did not take long. One minute later, Christian Wilhelmsson scored the 2-1.

Shortly after the break, Tihinen made a terrific header and the 3-1 score was a fact. After that goal, a tired Anderlecht played more defensively. Charleroi showed some great efforts, but in vain.
