The transfer of Silvio Proto to Anderlecht probably means the end of Tristan Peersman in Brussels. How does he react? "What do I have to say? Welcome?", he sounds ironically.

"I still have a contract for one year. I just try to behave like a professional", says Peersman. "It's easy for me. The other goalies have to compete for a place on the bench, I don't."

"I am allowed to leave. Otherwise I just finish off my contract here. I won't be second goalkeeper here. But I don't want that either."

"On what basis did Roger Vanden Stock land Silvio Proto? A couple of matches with the national team?", Peersman stated.

"Proto is young and talented. But how will he react if he makes a mistake and gets criticism? I hope he won't, ofcourse."

And his own situation? "There are contacts in England. But it seems easier to me to go to the Netherlands. It's a pity that the transfer to NEC didn't go through. Oh, I just have to wait, as calm as possible."
