Vercauteren wants reinforcements, Van Holsbeeck proposes coolness

Franky Vercauteren was disappointed that Onyewu stays in Standard. He wanted the American to play in Anderlecht. "We talked a lot, but little happened".

Anderlecht were interested in Bart Goor, Silvio Proto and Oguchi Onyewu. "We can forget them all. If none of these players has signed after Saturday, i.e. when we go on practice stage in the Netherlands, then we will be in a difficult situation".

"I hope that one file at least will be winded up. The money that was aimed at Onyewu can be used in another file".

Anderlecht-manager Herman Van Holsbeeck says they have to stay cool. "We are looking at an alternative for Onyewu", he said.

"I was prepared to him not coming. But I keep saying it: Anderlecht will try something else", he added.

"We will make one or two big transfers. The only problem we have is that the players we want to transfer are very expensive. That is why we need more time to wind up all these files".

And what about Goor now?

Timothy Derijck should be used as change money in the transfer of the Red Devil to Anderlecht. Timothy thinks it is a good idea because he will be more rapidly in Feyenoord that way.

"I am fearless about it", he says. Derijck talked once more with Marc Wotte, technical manager in Feyenoord. "He told me nothing could make my transfer to the Netherlands impossible. But I do not know wether or not that means Goor comes to Anderlecht. If both teams agree on my transfer, I suppose they will agree on the other file".
