Genk have already started training again but are still looking for a central midfielder. Coach Hugo Broos thinks about his ex-pupil, Besnik Hasi.

"Hasi is on our list", admits technical manager Ariel Jacobs. "But as long as nobody goes away, we cannot do anything. We do not have any contract with Hasi but he has the required profile."

Hasi (33) has just started his 6th season in Anderlecht. The Mauves had transfered him from Genk. Last year, Hasi lost his place in the squad because of an injury.

Besnik Hasi is happy with Genk's interest in him. He says a transfer would be a good thing because "everybody knows my situation in Anderlecht".

"Irrespective of football in itself, there are other things that might give me the envy to go away. Genk is my second house. I have always liked playing football there. And my wife also prefers living in Genk than in Brussels."

"I still have one year contract in Anderlecht. If they want to collaborate to a transfer, I would be very happy to come back to Genk. It would be really great for me."
