Christian Wilhelmsson caused a riot in his home country Sweden. After the game of a second division team, he ran on the pitch and insulted the referee. The whole incident was blown out of proportion in the Swedish tabloids.

Wilhelmsson was on a holiday in Sweden and went to a game of his favorite club Mjällby. In the 65th minute, the referee gave a contestable penalty to Mjällby's opponent. Wilhelmsson ran on the field after the last whistle and called all sorts of names to the referee.

Christian Wilhelmsson returned to Anderlecht yesterday and is expected on training today. Tomorrow, his case will be treated by the Swedish Disciplinary Commission.

"The referee was really really bad", Wilhelmsson reacted. "I don't regret what I did. But I shouldn't have done it on the field in front of so many people."

Herman Van Holsbeeck has planned a discussion with the player to check his side of the story. Wilhelmsson will probably be suspended in Sweden.
