It looks like Silvio Proto is not coming to Anderlecht. The goalkeeper with Italian roots demands an exaggerated salary. Anderlecht are now looking for an alternative.

Anderlecht-manager Herman Van Holsbeeck already said that a transfer was impossible if Proto sticked with his demands. "Proto kept on saying that he could earn more in Spartak Moscow. We want him in the team, but we are not going to waste our money", explained Van Holsbeeck.

"His manager is only after the money. We wish not to cooperate with that. From today on, we start scouting foreign goalkeepers", continues the manager.

Normally, Proto should have come to Anderlecht to negociate further, but he didn't show up. Also his manager Pietro Allatta announced that a transfer is out of the question. "There is a huge difference between what Anderlecht offer and what Proto demands", said Allatta. "They (Anderlecht) should have offered more money. It's as simple as that. Other clubs are prepared to pay more."

"Anderlecht claim that Proto asks a Real Madrid salary. But that's not true. Whether he's prepared to play in Russia? Money can do everything", concluded Allatta.
