Constant Vanden Stock commented a few of his players in the media. The 91-years old chairman of honour is hard for his stars.

"Vincent Kompany the best defender ever? I don't know. We also had Van Himst, Coeck, Scifo, Rensenbrink (striker)... Vincent may be the most gifted, but I also saw a few bad things from him. Especially the dinner parties after he won the Golden Shoe... But he's an intelligent player, luckily."

"Nenad Jestrovic is the best striker in the league. But we've had better strikers. Jestrovic is a real killer in the box, but he doesn't create much chances himself."

Aruna Dindane showed us his class, but only because we didn't have better players. He can take the ball and dribble but he looses it too easily. He has to work on that.

Walter Baseggio can't complain about his salary. He earns a lot of money, but he doesn't fit in our system anymore. He doesn't take initiatives anymore and that's something crucial for a playmaker. He has bought a bar now. That's insane. When Scifo opened a restaurant, his carreer was over too."

Christian Wilhelmsson is a typical player for us. I never thought he would want to leave. That's the only thing players think about these days...
