Germinal Beerschot never posed any thread to Anderlecht. From the beginning, the Mauves dominated the game. A logical 3-0 victory was the result.


The first chance of the game was for Mbo Mpenza. GBA couldn't reach their strikers and were overclassed.
Nenad Jestrovic opened the score with a header. Anderlecht got enough chances to double the score, but they were all missed.
Beerschot got one chance in the first half. Henk Vos passed to Cadu, but Daniel Zitka held the nill.

Anderlecht put the victory beyond doubt in the second half. Pieterjan Monteyne tackled Christian Wilhelmsson in the box. The referee gave a penalty, which Jestrovic scored: 2-0. That way, Jestrogoal is the best striker in the country again.

Zitka had no work anymore from then on. Wilhelmsson brought the final score on 3-0.
