Situation for Baseggio gets worse

Walter Baseggio was not selected for the game against Westerlo. Apparently that really hurt his feelings. Though it gets worse. Manager Van Holsbeeck is also losing his confidence in Baseggio.


Herman Van Holsbeeck: "Walter Baseggio has a high potential. He's probably even the best midfielder in Belgium. I've always been a big fan of him. The problem is that he is playing way below his level. Maybe it is time for him to find another club?"

"Walter might blame it on Vercauteren, but I think that he is not working hard enough. 80% of this situation he caused himself. Maybe the club is responsible for the other 20% of the problem. Maybe we were not strict enough with him in the past."
