Zulte-Waregem go up to 1st Division

Despite their defeat 0-2 at home against Antwerp, Zulte-Waregem are champion of the Belgian 2nd Division and will play next year in the 1st Division.

Geel, their biggest concurrent, have also lost (2-1 against Roeselare) and, though they have played one game less than Zulte-Waregem, cannot catch on anymore their deficit of 15 points. Zulte-Waregem, playing in red-yellow-green, played one season in 3rd Division (2001-2002), just after their fusion, and played afterwards three seasons in the 2nd. After 55 years of existence, KSV Waregem joined on 6 May 2001 with the smaller but healthier VV Zulte.
