Vercauteren reacts on the draw of Brugge and Standard

The clash between Club Brugge and Standard ended on a 1-1 draw. Because of Anderlecht's victory yesterday, the Mauves closed down the gap with Brugge to 4 points. Standard are now at 7 points of RSCA. A reaction of Vercauteren:


"This draw is of course a great result for us. We can now try to catch Brugge, but we mustn't forget that the Brugians are still the favourite for the title. Though the league will be exciting until the last matchday now. That's a good thing for the Belgian football, because we have a lack of exciting and spectacular games here."

"The next few games will be very important for us. First, we must win against La Louvière. The next game is at home against Standard. We'll know more after those two games", said the Anderlecht trainer on the radio.
