"I should have been more implicated in Broos' choices"

"I only have a few requirements. Those who can follow them, will play. Those who can not, have problems", says Vercauteren concerning the selection of young players. His training is also more intensive.

"In certain domains, it is a bit different from Broos. The main coach decides and at the time, Broos was the main coach. Looking back to it, I think I should have been more implicated in his choices, already at the beginning of the season. I should have told him a few things from man to man. But I have much respect for him and I did not want to create any problems", he concludes.
