Anderlecht have obtained their first victory under trainer Franky Vercauteren. Despite the snow, the game against Mons took place and the Mauves won with 1-2. Thanks to the defeat of Genk, Anderlecht are back on the 2nd place now.

Anderlecht started well and got a few good chances, but it was the home side that scored. Londo defeated goalkeeper Jan Van Steenberghe (from an offside position ??).

The Mauves reacted and got a penalty when Aruna was tackled in the box. Jestrovic scored it: 1-1. The Brussels' team kept on pushing forward and it was again Jestrovic who doubled the score. He even kicked the ball a 3rd time against the nets, but he was in an offside position.

Anderlecht controled the game from then on, and despite two balls on the crossbar (Aruna and Deschacht), the result stayed 1-2.
