Although RSC Anderlecht supporters mentioned Dutch AZ Alkmaar coach Co Adriaanse as possible successor of stand-in manager Franky Vercauteren, the club board rules out any negotiations for the moment.

"We are very honoured that some one like Adriaanse is interested in our club. But he or anyone else is not an issue at the moment. Despite all our problems, we are still being seen as one of Europe's best clubs", manager Van Holsbeeck said.

"But for now, we'll let Vercauteren do his work. We'll see how things work out in the coming weeks. Though we will hire a new coach by next season. Someone like Franky is of great value to our club. He leads our youth training programme. Should we risk having to fire him as coach?", he wondered.

Further, rumours are going on that not everyone inside the club want Adriaanse as trainer. Anderlecht is a billingual club and the Dutchman doesn't speak French. So that might be the problem...
